We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology for our Corporate Headquarters in Kent, Ohio. This individual will collaborate with the executive leadership team and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support streamlined technology solutions for all aspects of the business.
Duties:• Manage the Information Technology (IT) Department and additionally act as the business analyst and program manager for all major technology related projects
• Participate in the strategic planning process and ensure alignment of IT initiatives
• Formulate long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost effective state of the art information processing and communication technologies
• Manage IT department, projects and technology initiatives as well as overall program management
• Manage all IT expenditures, budgets, vendor selections and relationships
• Manage and modify IT budgets by reviewing previous year budget, detailed monthly reports and forecasting future project expenditures
• Raise awareness with executive staff and department heads about technology solutions and training that might benefit the organization and their respective departments
• Work with other departments as necessary to ensure continued success of systems
• Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements
• Manage servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment
• Manage telecommunications infrastructure and development plans, projects, policies and procedures
• Formalize IT policy, standards and procedures
• Establish IT departmental goals, objectives and operation procedures
• Ensure the department is able to change to meet ongoing needs as necessary
• Supervising, managing and mentoring IT department employees
• Develop the IT employees to meet the changing needs of users, groups and offices; new projects and technologies; and varying employee strengths
• Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry
Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
• 7+ years of progressive IT management experience, including experience in a multi-office environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of technical staff, to work with Executive Management, and to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, and policy development
• Strong understanding and technical knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications and outsourcing systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• MS Office 2010, Windows XP/7, Windows Server 2003 /2008R2, understanding of domain network environments, some scripting / programming experience, PLC experience a plus, MS Certifications, MCITP / CCNA a plus, ERP experience a plus.
• Experience in one or more of the following: java, javascript, perl, python, html, html5, XML, .NET, MsSQL, IIS, Apache, ASP Basic
Strong project management, organizational and time management skills
• Excellent problem-solving, analytic and evaluative skills
