Our fleet of more than 400 late model well maintained traffic control equipped vehicles are mobile offices for our employees, providing all the equipment necessary to set up safe, well managed work zones. In addition to our daily customer requirements, we also respond within 2 hours to more than 2,500 emergency service requests annually.

JOB SUMMARY OVERVIEW

The Information Technology Manager is the top information technology leader with overall strategic responsibility for the technical and operational management systems and processes that support the organization's goals. The IT Manager ensures alignment of the IT Strategy with the overall Business Strategy
Duties:The IT director is responsible for:
• Directing the implementation of technical and systems architectures
• Provides leadership for short and long-range planning of technology initiatives - update and maintain the IT Roadmap
• Advises and directs organization leadership toward effective, efficient technology solutions to business requirements
• Provides innovative thought leadership on how to apply technology to enhance business performance
• Develops internal consulting relationships with organization leadership
• Directs the design, development, and maintenance of systems, programs, and systems software to meet management and company's information needs
• Establishes IT policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources. Overseeing the management of the information technology systems and IT service delivery. Systems include software, hardware, printers, mobile devices, data and telephone communication systems, and networks
• Ensuring the availability of critical business information managed in the IT systems
• Formulates and deploys strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communications technologies to achieve business goals.
• Manages the strategic planning and governance processes for IT Systems.
• Ensures IT policies, processes, procedures and controls are in place and monitors adherence to ensure data recoverability and security, customer privacy and confidentiality, and legal and regulatory compliance.
• Effectively presents technical information to non-technical audiences such as the Board of Directors, senior leadership and staff.
• Institutes IT best practices; in particular in the areas of change, project, infrastructure and application management, monitoring, data privacy and security.
• Oversees and provides technical and functional guidance in the evolution, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of the organization's IT systems and application portfolio.
• Develops, maintains and manages vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements.
• Develops and presents the annual IT budget including project definitions, priorities and staffing requirements.
Qualifications:Requirements:
• 10 years of IT experience, including 5 years of management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of current and evolving computer hardware, software, networking, and security practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Significant experience prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience developing strategies and roadmaps to evolve IT systems and support new business initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience building relationships, working collaboratively with and making presentations to senior business leaders and technical and non-technical staff.
• Demonstrated experience solving business problems and achieving business goals using technology.
• Extensive experience leading and managing the development and maintenance of enterprise-class software applications and technical infrastructures using a standard project management methodology.
• Extensive operational experience with enterprise-class business applications such as program/project tracking, reporting, accounting, customer relationship management, Business Intelligence and data warehouses.
• Experience with MS server and Workstation operating systems, wide-area networking systems, security systems including Virtual Private Networks, enterprise email services and MS Office.
